/ About the project

Composing the Shadow of the Tomb Raider soundtrack was a four-year journey that transformed the way I think about music. Traveling across Mexico and South America, I immersed myself in ancient pre-Hispanic traditions—studying their sonic landscapes and even crafting some of the instruments myself. This process reconnected me with the ritualistic power of sound and its deep ties to nature.


At the same time, the score was designed to be highly interactive, seamlessly integrating within the game engine. Working closely with visionary Audio Director Rob Bridgett, we intentionally blurred the lines between music and sound design, with many of the assets I created becoming part of the game’s immersive sonic world. The result is a living, breathing score that doesn’t just accompany Lara’s journey—it moves with her, reflecting her inner turmoil, struggles, and transformation as she unravels the mysteries of the past.
