Composing the score for The Days was a profound journey that required balancing cinematic depth with authentic Japanese folk elements. Collaborating closely with music producer Koyo Sonae and the series' music supervisor, we crafted a soundscape that resonated deeply with the show's themes.​

The composition prominently featured string arrangements and showcased the talents of renowned Japanese singer Maiko Horisawa, blending traditional melodies with cinematic textures. Drawing from my experience in game music composition, we developed several thematic pieces that were strategically placed throughout the series, enhancing the storytelling without overshadowing it. This approach ensured that the score complemented the visual elements, providing an soundtrack experience that honored both the cultural context and the audience expectations.
